Wallaroo

The port town of Wallaroo, which was once a booming copper mining town, is fast becoming a holiday dreamland.

Office Beach is one of the favourites of the locals, situated on the Wallaroo beachfront and only metres away from homely pubs and chic cafes. Dip in the crystal blue waters and feel the saltwater on your skin or enjoy a famous Copper Coast sunset with fish and chips. Head to the Copper Cove Marina and watch the boats come in.

Cast all your worries away when you fish off the town's famous jetty - fishing fanatics flock from all over the country to try to hook snapper, King George whiting, squid and flathead straight off the wooden pylon.

The Kernewek Lowender festival, the largest Cornish festival in the world, is held every second year in the area. Prepare for delicious food, activities for the kids and dancing til the night is old. If you can't make it to the festival, doing the heritage walk through the town is also an awesome way to soak up the Cornish history and traditions.
